ABOUT
The Beginning
William Johnston was born in 1942. His keen interest in the poultry industry bloomed into Johnstons of Mountnorris grading 500,000 a week and installing Big Dutchman equipment across the UK.
Hatchery
The Hatchery as built in 19xx and supplies multiple breeds of chicken to clients and our own farms. Day old chickens and point of lay hens are delivered across the UK and Ireland.
Processing Eggs
Egga only uses locally produced eggs that are boiled, peeled and packaged in our state of the art facilities in Mountnorris. The eggs are used in the catering and sandwich industries.
TEAM
William Johnston Partner
Has been in the poultry and egg industry for over 50 years. His knowledge and experience is respected throughout the UK and Ireland. Johnstons of Mountnorris first moved into egg production and grading for retail and wholesale. Breeding stock and hatchery facilities were added to the business along with a equipment supply and installation department.
Thomas Johnston Partner
Joined company after graduating from the University of Ulster. Thomas made the strategic decision to move into the processed egg market and opened EGGA. EGGA produces peeled boiled eggs and are about to enter the liquid egg market.

PRODUCT
Hard Boiled Eggs
The eggs are quality checked before being boiled and shelled on our automated production line. The eggs are packaged in 3kg or 6kg buckets filled with a natural preservative solution.
